Jaia
Jaia blends bellydance, and yoga in a powerful and audience-pleasing fusion. She has been a devoted yogini since 1999, and had dedicated her life to seeking understanding in the ancient practices and philosophies of this path. Along the way she has absorbed ideals in the modalities of Kundalini, Reiki, and Ayurveda. Since walking into her first bellydance class in 2000, Jaia has spent the past 10 years seeking classes among the industry's most renowned teachers. in 2007, Jaia began travelling the southeast, teaching and performing professionally. Finding the natural immersion of Yoga and Bellydance came easy to Jaia, one being the inner path to awareness, the other, the outward expression to connect. Together, the passions foster whole awareness, and further expansion of mind and body.
Jaia's particular blend of posturing and armwork can be attributed to years of Yoga practice and training, and allows her to create unique extensions and dynamic lengths throughout her dancing. Working closely with her partner, Amanda, has allowed Jaia to draw stylizations of the Modern/Contemporary dance world into her own Bellydance classes, combinations and solo work. While Amanda remains the Modern force of the duo, Jaia enjoys the unique and raw edge this fusion brings to their dancing.
Amanda
Amanda Bolli has dedicated her lifetime to the art of dance. Fostering a life long dedication to Modern dance, she has taken her years of experience in this dance genre and fused them with the precise yet organic art of belly dance.
Amanda is a senior level instructor at The Tennessee Conservatory of Fine Arts, a soloist for Ballet Gloria, and a founding member of The Repertory Dance Theater. She has performed with both The Oak Ridge Civic Ballet and The Appalachian Ballet, and recently had the profound honor of working with The Moscow Ballet while they toured the US with The Great Russian Nutcracker. In addition to teaching and performing, she is also a dedicated student, investing 27 years of her life into honing her skills as a dancer
